Guest guest
Hi! I am not sure what causes it, but I imagine it would be easier to lose. I know every time my body swells (happens every once in a while when I eat something I am allergic to) I start to hold in water and just swell. However, mine usually goes down within a couple of days. Sorry I can't help you more. -

Guest guest
Well, searching the net has not been too helpful to me so I thought i would turn to my trusty group of answer providers - thanks in advance to all who respond. I think I may have Hypo edema. It has been 2.5 hrs since I woke up and I still have slight creases (no longer the welts which lasted 2 hrs) from sleep wrinkles! Also - my eyes feel very funny and my urine output in the morning is now less then it uss is (gets better as the day wears on). Can someone tell me what to expect with this? Also - if it is causing my weight gain is it easier weight to lose then fat weight gain? Background info that may help you answer my questions: >>I have been drinking tons of water as I am VERY thirsty >>Have been on LID about 12 days now >>I have been craving salt so I added quite a bit to my food yesterday. My #1 Non-LID craving is for potato chips - because I want that salt! >>I have also gained weight (about 4 lbs) >> the only exercise I find I am capable of is a slow walk but I am walking, walking, walking as it tends to help me fight the fatigue. >>This is day 15 off cytomel >> my diet is a lot of fruit (watermelon, peaches, grapes, bananas); asparagus, zucchini, cauliflower, date nut bread (1 slice in morning); either grilled chicken breast/steak/pork tenderloin - no more then 4-5 oz a day - spread out over lunch/dinner; tomatoes; cucumber, red pepper, lettuce; 1 tsp LID chocolate sauce a day, couple of dried apricots (not every day); a few nuts; 1 cup of coffee with 1.5 sugars and almond nut milk; the odd handful of plain pasta elbows (not every day); popcorn - fresh popped - a small bowl every other night; two small pieces of biscotti; Any advice/comments/stories re my symptoms and what I can expect would be appreciated. Thanks Joan Weston, FL 07/18/02 - FNA results - PAP 08/12/02 - TT - final results – PAP of the left upper pole of the thyroid, Classic Type, 1.6 cm x 1.4 cm.;confined to Thyroid Gland:no capsular /extrathyroidal extension or vascular invasion noted. 09/07/02 - stopped cytomel 09/11/02 - started LID 09/20/02 - First TSH test - no results as yet Planning on 09/24/02-RAI(100 mCl ordered). In hosp as req by FLA law.
