Hi ,

At the risk of being redundant, star fruit is this OBSCENELY EXPENSIVE (at

least in California) tropical fruit. It is absolutely fascinating to look

at. If you ever run into them you will know because they cry to be picked

up and wondered over (they're roughly 4 inches long and are star shaped

along a central axis). I'm always tempted to buy them.... even if just for

decoration.... until I see the price, at which point I put them down in a

hurry!
