Guest guest
Is it too far fetched to consider an international venue? :-) > Just a reminder that we are looking for PSCers/caregivers who would like to host our 2008 conference. We hope to have the conference in a different locale each year, so that we can hear updates from various medical centers.
Guest guest
Ellen, I really appreciate your enthusiasm, but I think that at this point, we still need to keep our conferences in the States so that we can maximize our attendance at the conference. Hopefully in the future, we'll become more of an international foundation, and then we can consider an international venue. Guest guest
Chaim, I obviously missed her smiley after the comment..I'm fighting off a virus that is going around here, and I'm not at all with it. Hoping that Ellen and you can make it to the conference in April! Ricky RE: Re: Call for hosts for 2008 conference Ricky, I am pretty sure she was kidding, judging by the smiley after the comment. Ellen is looking for flights and is checking if we can leave the girls with her sister for a few days. I would realy like to go there and meet some of you guys. I have never met anyone who has PSC like me. Should be an interesting experience. Hope to see you in April. Chaim

Guest guest
Ricky, I've said since our first conference that I would love to host one in the St. Louis area, and have actually put together some information to make it happen. However, currently I'd like to wait until I get a final answer from the tx team regarding my donor. If my donor is approved I'd really like to go for it. If not, it may be best that I not commit to something of this magnitude. I will contact you as soon as I get an answer. The call could come any day now for the final approval or elimination of my donor....please pray! Guest guest
Chaim, I'm so glad that you're working on joining us at the conference. I can promise you that it is truly an uplifting experience to spend a weekend with our group of PSCers and caregivers. Before our first conference in 2004, I had never met another PSCer either, but as soon as the conference started, I felt like a new person, knowing that I had such a fantastic group of knowledgeable, empathetic, and supportive PSCers surrounding me. It will be worth your trip from across the world! Ricky RE: Re: Call for hosts for 2008 conference Ricky, We are making serious plans at this time. I have never met anyone who has PSC like me. Guest guest
, I'll add my prayers for you to all the other PSCers who are rooting for you. That would be phenomenal if your donor gets the final approval. Here's hoping that you get good news soon and then you'll be able to get on with your life. Keep us updated!!! Maybe in the future, you'll be up for commiting to hosting the conference. Right now, you have to concentrate on taking care of yourself! I'm thinking of you, .
