You're lucky to have an ac. In a recent letter from our coordinator she said Bridget is ac for Co. We are in Galveston Co. We had on ac who was from League City for a while but she never responded to my letters asking her to visit our chapter. We are very close to League City. She didn't last very long. In the 9 years I have been in TOPS she is the only area captain we have had. Maybe we should get together sometime and go up to the San /Austin area for some of their shindigs. I'm in Orange County -- near Jefferson Co. -- have not heard of an area captain for my area since I joined TOPS in '01. Heard that Bridget is a good captain. Have never seen our area coord. EVER !!!!!!! We're about 100 miles from her -- bout the same from you, I guess !!!!! Have never been to a workshop or Fun Day -- last year some of us thought about going to Fun Day -- but we had a family reunion scheduled for the same day at Crystal Beach -- you probably know where that's at !!! Had a great reunion ---- That would be great if we could get together for a workday or one of their day camps --- I usually don't have any commitments on Sat. -- course, that would probably mean at least one night out of town -- or two -- no problem for me !!!!!! Hubby would just have to understand !!!!!!! Hearing of all these 'fun things' --- and they ARE fun things --- it sure makes me feel 'left out' ---- I've never been to an SRD -- we have one member who goes every year -- but she goes with a chapter in another town --- and most of the other members in my group wouldn't want to be away for that many days -- some are getting too feeble to make long trips ------- and others can't afford it -------- one of these days, maybe !!!!!! There are several counties in our area that don't have a captain ----- as far as I know - County is the only one with a captain --that's where lives. Have heard that captain is very good.
