Congratulations, that's a great number! I am so happy for you and

. I hope the injections will help your progesterone too. I

heard that serum progesterone results are not very reliable. First,

you have to take in in the morning, and on an empty stomach - after a

meal, progesterone can drop by 1/2. Also, most of the progesterone

circulates around the uterus, where it's needed and not in the blood

stream.

Hi ,

That's great news about your positive beta!

I've heard that the progesterone you receive via suppositories isn't

fully reflected in the blood because it goes straight to the uterus.

So, your level is probably higher than what your blood test showed.

Prometrium (the pills) do go into the blood however. Hope your

levels pick up soon. Did your doctor seem at all concerned?

I've had many progesterone issues in the past--so I know it can be

scary.

, Oh Wow! I just read your e-mail. So you guys are preg.? Yeah, I am so

> Hi Everyone,

> I ended up going to a local hospital for bloodwork (hcg, progesterone,

estrodial) because I couldn't get out in time to make it to my doctor's for same

day results. After that I drove to the doctors to do a smear test. My hcg is

213!!!! Which seems really amazing to me, because it was only 26 with the ep.

My progesterone was low, and the smear test showed that the progesterone was not

clumping properly, so in addition to suppositories, I'm back on oral

progesterone and received a shot. My doctor sent me home with a little care

package of needles, progesterone, etc. for the next 2 shots. He also redid the

progesterone bloodwork just to verify the hospital's results. If the hospital

is accurate in processing, I'll be able to go there in 3 days to have the test

repeated, rather than driving 90 minutes.

> So, I guess it's official, I'M PREGNANT!!!!! Next week we'll do an u/s to

see how many there are.

I am so happy your hcg #s are good!!! That is a great

start!!! Try to relax, I know that is easy to say,

but so far so good and that is all we can ask for.

Have a nice evening ....can I dare say, mommy.
