Guest guest
I used to can a lot of tomatoes too--- fresh from our garden. My husband plants all these wonderful heirloom tomatoes. I made salsa and all kinds of sauces. This is a very weird allergy. If I eat tomatoes, the skin on the tips of my fingers thickens and then cracks and bleeds. Very painful. I have to walk around with these darn bandaids and wear rubber gloves so I don't get my hands wet. It takes about three weeks to heal each time! What a pain. But, at least I now know what was causing it! The skin test was negative so, for a long time, I had ruled out tomatoes. My fingers are all clear right now and I am very happy for that. LOL Merry Christmas to me.... ha ha ha. Merry Christmas and Happy Channukah to all! > I totally feel your pain. GF wasn't that hard for me, > and still isn't.
