Why did you have to stop your shots for pregnancy? They are safe for

pregnancy and nursing. He is giving me a prescription for a nasal spray

antihistamine -- it is not one I have ever heard of before -- but it doesn't

enter your system like Claritin and the others. He said it is what he gives

to patients that are pregnant, nursing or planning on becoming pregnant.

I had to stop my shots for this pregnancy because I missed 2mos b4 I

got pg and since I am highly sensitive he did not want to risk me

having a reaction to the shots and needing antireaction meds that are

not good for pregnancy. So I can start again ASAP after the baby is

born. I have taken Claritin through my last two pregnancies, and my

alergist and obgyn both told me that it was ok to take while bf.

Although when I am getting my shots I don't need it often, maybe 1-2

times a month. I am SO alergic to everything, that the nasel spays

never worked. I figured nursing would be thae best choice to maybe

help the baby not to have the alergy problems I do, since he will be

getting the antibodies the shots create right along with me.

These shots are working great! I haven't needed any meds yet but when we

visit people I usually need something. If I am at anyone's home for any

length of time, I come home sick so some medicine will be nice. On my recent

test I found out I am NOT allergic to 3 things. I know before I switched

doctors that whatever I was reacting to DS was too but now that I have

started on the new shots, both of us have cleared up. Hopefully, DS can get

it all by way of me/breastmilk so he doesn't have to take his own shots.
