Deb,

Probably Fogarty, not Fogerty....at least in Stedman's that's the only way

Fogarty is spelled no matter what they are referring to. No idea about the

hydrogrip part, though! Did you run a google search to see what turns up?

S.

SURGERY HELP PLEASE

We occluded the proximal common femoral artery with a S/L Fogerty hydrogrip.

I am not really for sure about this grip. It sounds like he could be saying

hydrogrip, but not for sure. It is though some kind of grip. Thanks, Deb

Deb,

Silly me! I just found it in Stedman's Equipment: Fogarty Hydragrip clamp.

Hope that helps :-).

P.S. If you don't have Stedman's Equipment, you definitely should get it. Sounds

like you're gonna' need it with the reports you are doing! LOL!

I found several hits on Google referring to knee arthroplasty using an

" articulating " spacer. Could that be it? I was initially thinking

interbody spacer, but that has to do with the spine and a spacer that goes

between the vertebral bodies, not anything to do with the knee. HTH! :o)

Deb,

It's definitely spacer, not pacer. I'm not sure about the first part,

though. Nothing in Stedman's Ortho seemed to match that one.....

I'm wondering if it could be a cement spacer. Can you hear that? I type that

a lot in radiographic reports.

SURGERY HELP PLEASE

Oh no, here we go again today, the same horrible doctor. He had a septic

total knee arthroplasty which was removed and a S/L Spence or dispense

pacer

or spacer was placed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Deb

Thanks

I am typing a ventral hernia repair. The doctor is saying S/L Houson

trocar. I went to my equipment word book on CD and I found Hasson, but not

Houson. It definitely sounds like Houson. Is there a trocar spelled like

that, or is he pronouncing it incorrectly and do I want the Hasson? Thanks.

page. Deb
