Guest guest
Hi , thats for explaining how to do the tilted layering. I tried it yesterday and it turned out lovely. Time consuming though. I used green, gold & orange, the fo was plum spice from SC and my name for the soap is Autumn Festival. Looks really cool!!! Now if I could just figure out swriling!!!!!! I dont know how many batches I've ruined trying this and still cant get a grip on it. Oh well, maybe some day. thanks again. :0) Tammy
Guest guest
Cool, Tammy! It sounds wonderful! Glad it worked out for you! Swirling is quite easy. Want to know my " secret " ? When you have a LIGHT trace going, take out the amount of soap you want to be a different color. I take it out before I add my fragrance, just incase it decides to accelerate or seize. Color the portion you took out. Add fragrance to the original pot and get trace going A LITTLE more. Dump in the colored soap. Run your spoon around TWICE. Pour directly into your mold. The pouring helps disperse the color and swirls it for you. Also, just FYI - I make my CP soap at a light trace. The thickest I ever allow it to get is like a medium white sauce. I think a lot of people take trace too far and it only messes you up in the end because if trace is accelerated, pretty soon you're looking at pudding which puts air bubbles into your soap. If you use a light trace, acceleration doesn't worry you too much. Ok, class dismissed. *LOL* ~ ..:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:.
