Thyca mets go to the bone and can indeed go to the knee, but it's highly unusual. My guess is that if there are no mets anywhere else, chances are pretty high there are none in your knee. If it will make you feel more comfortable, though, then I'd say by all means, ask for the scan to go a bit further.
