Guest guest
Okay, this whole week has been a diet disaster. Last Sunday I got mad at Dad for hauling all that stuff out of the shed so I HAD to do something with it instead of what I was planning to do and I didn't eat good. Then I didn't eat good the next day, or the day after that and so on and so on. No major " eat a whole pint of Cherry " or " scarf down a whole bag of Doritos " , but not enough green stuff and large portions. And dessert. Yesterday I babysat some and then finished cleaning up the old sewing machine so I could move it into the house. This morning I got up at 6am to make the cake for a sweet boy's third birthday party. They were expecting 30 people, so we decided on one 11x14 chocolate sheet cake and a dinosaur cake made from two yellow 8 inch rounds. I used four pounds of confectioner's sugar just to make the frosting. The party was held outdoors at a picnic area and we all froze our butts off. It was so cold that I burned my finger on one of the barbecue grills and it didn't get warm enough to blister until I got in the car two hours later to drive home and turned on the heater. I had a piece of cake. But I'm going to be good for the rest of the month, starting now. I hope. Still have a dozen things to get done, but I've got such a headache that I have no inclination to do them. I'll put the bedspread in the washer (Zep decided it was hairball time about three this morning) and fix Dad something for dinner. Maybe by then the Advil will have kicked in and I'll be completely thawed out. " ... inside every old person is a young person wondering what happened.
