Guest guest
Just to let everyone know some background...I had a D & C in Sept 2001 and again in July 2002 both were for a blighted ovum pregnancy (placenta but no fetus). Following the second D & C I never got my period despite 4 mths of Premarin and Provera. I finally sought a second opinion and was told to get an HSG which I just had Friday 12/27. My worst fears were confirmed. As I lay on the table watching the contrast go into the uterus and stop almost as soon as it was injected. It appears to me that there is no open space in the uterus at all. The radiologist agreed and did say that it was Asherman's Syndrome but was not able to tell me how sever it is. I need to see my GYN to get the results and treatment plan. Can anyone tell me, based on your experience, what was the treatment plan following confirmation of AS? Also, has anyone had both an SHG and an HSG and which shows better? I am also very concerned about back flow bleeding that I have read about. My doctor said not to worry that the blood is usually absorbed into your system and is USUALLY not a problem. Any info or advise is appreciated. R.
