So glad you're home...!!!!

I just got back from ER myself - but much less eventful than

yours...my ER doc never heard of PSC...so you can imagine how great

this visit was (uh - you have a blockage in your liver ...a blockage?

Well, the duct is dilated so there must be a blockage...really? Or is

it that something is pushing on it and the blockage is outside...???

your case is complicated, go elsewhere ...ok!)...anyhow 18 hours later

he's referring me to my hep dr in Baltimore saying my case is so

complicated better to have them look at my CT Scan, etc... (my hep

doc, is on maternity leave BTW)...! I guess patience is a virtue

because I almost ran out!

Hang in there and I hope and pray every day gets a little

better, or rather a lot better! You've been in lots of people's

prayers, much deserved.

Dear ,I'm sending some good thoughts your way and hoping that you feel better. As far as the low temp goes, I thought that part of the problem with PSC is an over active immune system so if low body temp lowers the immune system , that might be a good thing. I really don't know anything about this, but if anyone does, I'm sure you will hear.Take care,Lee

Lee,

Thanks for the well wishes, I really appreciate it. Yesterday, was the first day I felt halfway decent and I'm hoping for continued improvement.

As far as the low body temp goes, the research that I did listed diabetes, hypothyroidism, and sepsis as three possible causes. I obviously wasn't sepsis, but the other two are certainly possibilities especially diabetes. Dr. A. told me a few years ago that it's just a matter of time before my pancreas shuts down altogether, and diabetes will result. I've had problems with hypoglycemia for MANY years, but within the last 3-4 months my glucose was actually just a tad above normal at 101 and 101, up from my normal 50's. My mother suffered from hypothyroidism from the age of 9 on, so that could be the problem although I am not gaining weight. As little as I eat the doctors are surprised that I'm not losing weight, but at least I'm not gaining it either. Who knows what's going on? I sure don't. I do know that with the reduced body temp I have to be more careful to avoid germs, as bugs will be easy to catch.

While I have you here...are you in FL, yet? What part? I'm sorry my memory just isn't the best. If my health continues to improve I am going down to FL to see my brother and his family. The kids and I didn't have a very good visit the last time, because my stalker was harassing me. I promised them I'd try to come back and make up for the time we lost to him. I'm hoping that I can keep my plans. If I do, I'd love to try to catch up with you if that's at all possible while I'm there.

Hope to talk to you soon.

Ricky,

Yes, I feel that I have been trapped in a nightmare, but it looks as though I may get to wake up from it soon. Yesterday, was the first decent day I've had and I'm praying that things continue to improve. I sent a note to the tx team and let them know that I was out of the hospital and what my status is. My coordinator said she would pass this info. on to the docs. I really was just giving her an update but if she thinks there's something they can do to improve my situation...go for it, is what I say!

How are you these days? How's the fatigue? And, how's Don? I hope both of you are feeling extremely well these days. Let me know.

Lee,

Don't worry about complaining, none of it is any fun to deal with whether it's a result of moving or health -- nonsense is nonsense! I hope to hear that a "Sold" sign has been placed in your yard soon.

Tampa is where I thought you all were moving to. I'll be flying into Tampa, but my brother lives in New Port Richey. Maybe by my next trip you'll be in FL as well, and we can meet for lunch.

Take care and don't work too hard.

Hi ,

I'm so glad that you're slowly emerging from your nightmare. Here's hoping that the doctors can get to the bottom of it and do something to help you.

Don and I are doing really well, thanks. I can live with the fatigue. We love having our two grandkids (Sam-2 years and Lily 2 months) so closeby!

Keep us updated about your progress.
