I feel it is my civic duty as a Seattleite in Latte Land to add to

this :-).

Of course, obviously you want to read the label. If the ingredients

aren't there, or are confusing (ie the nebulous " natural and

artificial flavoring " ), you can try to contact the company who makes

the coffee. I just did this for a few companies -

Starbucks doesn't have flavored beans - they use syrup made by a

company called Fontana. They read me the ingredients of some of the

flavors, and most things looked ok, except " natural flavoring " .

Haven't found Fontana on the web.

I have a call in to Seattle's Best Coffee and an email in to Millstone

to ask them about their flavored coffee beans. Will let you know if I

get any responses.

Cheers,

Steph

The brands/varieties of coffee that you use are clearly OK, but it doesn't

necessarily follow that all of them are.

It would be useful if you could list the brands/varieties that you use.

I used a local brand called " Schuil's " . It probably is only available in

Michigan since the corp headquarters is in Grand Rapids where I live.
