I would really press this issue of the urine testing with your doc. I would like to know how tissue equals urine. My understanding is...that the only way to get a tissue sample...is by cutting a piece of you off.

Yes...it is very true that blood testing has its drawbacks...but the thing that makes them nice around here, is that we are aware of the pitfalls. Urine testing may be the greatest thing..but its hard to know whether to trust it or not.

I still don't follow your reasoning when you say why you think it is superior. I don't understand why you also are concerned about the conversion? I'm wondering if you aren't focusing on some stuff that is gonna wind up being a dead end for you.

One should shoot for the t3free and t4free to be upper end of the range...so I don't know really how we are gonna do that with you. What is your doctor shooting for? Maybe you should ask him that. He sounds like he would love to enertain your questions.

Believe me...there were times when I thought I leaned it all and had good docs. I would have killed you if you dared tell me different. I've been through a lot of hard days when trying to arrive at the truth. Its easy to get seduced by doctors and bad advice. Not...saying that is happening to you..... but I'd like you to keep your eyes peeled.:) Question EVERYTHING Marlena.

You write beautifully by the way. Are you a teacher?

greatly improved, plus medicalintuitive told me 300mcg now -- since they both agree...). Also, tons of other supplements -- all goodquality and in the amounts that different authorssuggest for hypo people, plus herbal supplements saidto help conversion, like ashwaganda ... plus adrenalsupport, a glandular, herbs, and hydrocortisone, seasalt ...Very wholesome (mostly organic) diet and balanced withplenty of protein with carbs, healthy fats -- eatingevery 2-3 hours. Also detox supplements (likechlorella, and glutathione injections -- from doctor)to clear out heavy metals and chemicals that caninterfere with the thyroid. Also avoiding foods I seemto be sensitive to like wheat, dairy, refined sugar.Avoiding harmful chemicals as much as possible (drinkfiltered spring water, use shower filter, fluoridefree toothpaste, never swim in chlorine pools, naturalnon-toxic body care products, make-up, and

cleaningsupplies). Hmmm, what else am I doing? Trying toreduce stress as much as possible -- but I am goingthrough some relationship difficulties which I'm sureare contributing ... plus I'll be moving in a month... but that feels good. I'm starting to think it isthe aldosterone problem. said that all of mynew-since-thyroid-treatment symptoms could be from lowaldosterone (after the ACTH stimulation test, aldosterone was my only adrenal hormone that went downinstead of up! They are supposed to go up!)... andsince I feel worse than before when my T3 level waseven lower -- it would seem like I would feel evenjust a little tiny bit better since my T3 level

hasgone up a bit -- but no, I feel worse ... but since mycortisol levels have shown to be ok -- it has been soconfusing all this time (this was the first time I hadmy aldosterone checked). I have tried the multi-dosingand didn't feel a difference, but I should probablytry it again ...
