Guest guest
Nicely said. AA's feel a need to air all their dirty laundry to recover from alcoholism but the funny part is only the newcomers do it (for a little while anyway)until they realize everyone else is just talking about doing it and only the newcomers are actually doing it. I strongly suspect it's this that keeps the old-timers coming back. You never quite know what you're liable to hear in the rewms. Isn't this what they mean by " They've got good sobriety in those meetings " ? [They tell the best drunk stories over there you've just got to make it to that meeting.] > Re: Digest Number 658 > i don't owe it to anyone >to take off any more of my clothes than i originally chose to. Hello Toth, folks I have found nothing on the MM homepage, nor seen suggested anywhere else where MM has been discussed, that anyone on psychiatric medication is ineligible to be a member. It is true that it advises that alcohol should not be drunk if it will interact harmfully with any medications a person is taking, but that is commonsense and would apply to any medication, not just psychiatric ones. In addition, abstinence is an acceptable goal in MM in any case! Pete
