I'm somewhere between a 24 & 26 (down from a 28, so that's something<g>),

and I found a suit last week at Walmart on sale. I bought a 2x and it fits

just fine. When I was there tonight, they still had a few left and had

dropped them even lower. If you don't get one in the next few days though,

you'll probably end up having to order one, since none of the stores will

probably have any in stock again til spring.

BTW - I amazed my husband - not only was this the first bathing suit that

I'd bought in 17 years, but I turned down all the black suits that they had

and bought a pretty white one with big red and purple flowers on it<g>. I

did buy some shorts to wear over it in case I decide I'm just not quite

ready to bare my thighs yet!!

Right now I'm between a 16 and an 18 depending on the piece of clothing

and still headed up. I don't have a swimsuit, but then I haven't gone

to the beach or the pool in so long (none around me, I'm not a big

swimmer) that I don't need one. I remember in high school when I had

numerous warts (like 70 + on one hand alone). I couldn't wait to get

them off. I was just *so* sure that all of the kids were making nasty

comments behind my back about having *warts*. I got them off and, of

course, my hands were wrapped in bandages, so the kids couldn't help but

notice. They all wanted to know " what happened?! " When I told them, I

had warts, they were all shocked, they had never noticed.

I think the vast majority of the rest of the people in the world are

worrying about people talking about their " flaws " as much as we think

they are talking about us for our weight. I'm sure there are beautiful,

thin, blondes out there who are worried people are noticing and talking

about her small overbite or women who think if they only had another cup

size in their bra, they'd be getting dates. We all think we have body

flaws, and we all are so sure that others are noticing them and talking

about them/us. The truth is, in the US at least, most people are at

least a bit overweight. They are more worried about their weight

instead of ours. Just my thoughts on the matter.

Good for you, . You are an inspiration and I appreciate your sharing.

I have a horrendous week coming up. I have to work at G Street Fabrics on

Monday, Wednesday & Thursday evening--and maybe Friday. I will be at Walter

Hospital all day on Tuesday and Thursday morning I have a quilt class

that I wish I had never signed up for. I need to make some clothes which

means altering patterns and I will admit that is always a shot in the dark

with me!

But, I am tired. Last night I couldn't sleep and It is now 12:20 and I am

not in bed. I wanted to check my email since I hadn't been online for five

days. But, you know, I haven't been half as stiff from sitting in front of

the computer for hours on end. And, that is why I am enjoying going back to

work. last winter I worked at G Street and I worked in the back. I am a

part-time receptionist. Anyway, I would sit for six hours straight on

Saturdays from 3 - 9 and I would be so stiff that I couldn't move. Now, I

get to work out in the front of the store and I can get up and wait on

customers. I have to run back and forth to the phone but I really enjoy

that. My feet hurt from standing and my body was pretty sore today but it is

nice to get out and be around other people. I really enjoy working with

customers and answering the phone. But, I am feeling overwhelmed by this

week's schedule. I am thinking of letting the quilting class go. I just

don't see when I am going to have the time. My house is behind--it is a

wreck again! and I really don't have the energy to clean it up. And, I

haven't even looked at the checking account or the bills in a month. I am

feeling overwhelmed. Do you all get like that? How do you manage it all? As

I said before my dh is disabled and so he doesn't help with much of

anything. I doubt that he would if he weren't disabled, but that is another

story. There is no family who is willing or able to help us so I am on my

own with this. My husband does have the nurse that comes in each morning and

evening--but often she leaves a mess in the kitchen. In fact, last Tuesday

night I asked her if she would please close the door quietly in the mornings

because it had been waking me up (when she slammed it). She said yes but

would not look me in the face and she was angry and quiet for five days

afterwards! I explained to her that the head of my bed was right on the

other side of the wall from the door and it awakens me in the morning. But,

ever since then she has worn perfume to work! I have asked her at least 100

times not to wear perfume. (Just a tad passive-aggressive.) I have had a

headache just about every day that she has been here since because of the

perfume! So, that is to say, that she isn't much help when it comes to me.

She is great taking care of hubby but she treats me like I am a lazy toad!

I am thinking that as much as I wanted to work more hours that it just isn't

really feasible. I don't have the energy to work lots of hours and still

shop, cook, clean and take care of myself and get the rest that I need these

days.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
