Guest guest
" I wonder if it would be ok to wean him from b milk during the day and just nurse when I'm with him so I could at least turn in the pump. " Yes! I was planning on doing that too (my baby will be 1 in August) but decided to keep pumping for a while longer purely for financial reasons I think the general guideline is 10mo when your body can adjust to part/time breastfeeding. Some women in previous generations did it successfully from the end of maternity leave. The trick is to go slowly, I think I read drop one pump/bf session per week. Are you on the pumping moms list? Check out www.pumpingmoms.org. I joined both since they focus on pumping (some of the moms are not able to bf). Lynn
Guest guest
Lynn, I am glad I did. I know many babies do great going from bottle to nursing but neither of mine did. It is just something to be aware of, I certainly wasn't. Wendi http://www.lactivist.com breastfeeding info & resources Re: PT Breastfeeding Ooh, that's good to know. I have been working on the sippy cup to no avail, she just likes to nurse or have a bottle, so it sounds like that is definately a first step for me. Thanks so much for sharing that!
