Guest guest
Hi Shay, I've been taking 4 mg of Zanaflex at bed time for about a year now. To be honest with you, the pain and cramps have gotten worse for me over the last year. But who knows what it'd be like if I wasn't on it? {{{Hugs}}} Jacqui Jacqui McCallister Age: 39 Dx'd with FMS: 1995, but symptoms since 1984 Additional Illnesses: Papillary Thyroid Cancer spread to lungs, Intra-Occular Migraines, TMJ, Allergies, Periodontitis, Mitral Valve Prolapse, IBS, Arthritis, Possible MPS and CFS, Osteopenia, Bunions, Heel Spur, Light/Smell/Sound Sensitivies, Edema, Insomina, Depression, Panic Attacks Location: Ridgeview, West Virginia USA Divorced, no kids. Guest guest
I used to take zanaflex. It was given to me for headaches, the muscles in my neck were so tight that they caused nasty headaches. The zanaflex worked great. I don't know about using it for breakthrough, but it is a very good drug, it most likely would be good for the cramping. Guest guest
Hi Jacqui, It really does seem to help me, especially if I take it through out the day, and then take two at bedtime. My doctor upped my Oxycontin dose today. I was complaining about itching though and he said that this is normal with the Oxycontin. Do any of y'all have that side effect with it? Guest guest
Irene, Yes Zanaflex is a pain medication originally intended for those with MS or MD, but they've found that it helps those of us with massive muscle cramps and with the pain in general. Hope that helps...Shay Join my new Diabetic Recipes group @ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Recipes4Diabetes God Bless You All, Shay/Shalynn and the rescue gang; Max, Samson, Zeuss, Tazz, Walter, Ralph, Sebastian, Tina Marie, Bear, Bogie & Jake

Guest guest
You don't have a rash, do you? That much itching isn't normal. You need to contact your doctor and don't let them just blow you off. It could be an alergic reaction. Guest guest
Thanks Shay. I had not heard of it and any information that we can get helps us to cope with fibro.
