Guest guest
just curious if anyone has outgrown the band in the middle of wearing it? when we try yo put my son's on - it doesn't fasten right. i think he went threw a growth spurt over the past few days. just wondering if anyone else had this problem. we are calling ct tomorrow to go in - but have left the band off so it doesn't adversely affect his head. thanks jen mom to oliver, 17 months, in 2nd doc band

Guest guest
wow, I don't know- though it sounds like a good idea to keep it off till you can have it checked out. I think they can have these sudden spurts though- I think Dylan just had one. Anyway- hope it gets sorted out. good luck! Guest guest
Jen,My daughter outgrew 2 DOC bands. We determined at the office visit that they were outgrown. With the first we saw some tell tale red spots in non-holding areas. They went away in an hour but were in non-normal areas. With the second it wouldn't sit right on her head - I didn't see this but the ortho did. I asked a question about the closure area and then she saw it wasn't sitting right. So yes it is possible for your child to have a big growth spurt and either need an adjustment or be done totally. In na's case she always needed an adjustment when we went in. In both of her bands the foam was shaved within mm of the plastic.Let us know what CT says.mom to Keirsten, 4 months Repo & tortna, 2 yrs DOC Grad Feb 04 and Tort Resolvedwww.thefilyaws.com/plagio.html>> just curious if anyone has outgrown the band in the middle of wearing > it? when we try yo put my son's on - it doesn't fasten right. i think > he went threw a growth spurt over the past few days. just wondering if > anyone else had this problem. we are calling ct tomorrow to go in - > but have left the band off so it doesn't adversely affect his head. > thanks> jen> mom to oliver, 17 months, in 2nd doc band>

Guest guest
How long as he been in it Jen? It's certainly possible to outgrow a band, but usually CT will be able to tell you when he's getting close ahead of time. Let us know how Oliver's appt goes. , mom to Hannah, DOCgrad Cape Cod, Ma http://hannahsnoggin.typepad.com > > just curious if anyone has outgrown the band in the middle of wearing > it? when we try yo put my son's on - it doesn't fasten right. i think > he went threw a growth spurt over the past few days. just wondering if > anyone else had this problem. we are calling ct tomorrow to go in - > but have left the band off so it doesn't adversely affect his head. > thanks > jen > mom to oliver, 17 months, in 2nd doc band >

Guest guest
Jen, Dominick outgrew Doc band #1 in 7.5 weeks and number two was done at 10 because of a growth spurt that resulted in such good correction that his asymmetry went down to a point that he needed a new band.
