Hi, everyone!

This has been a while since I have wrote. But I am dealing with

some health problems and severe depression. But I am keeping up with

everyone posting. I am also getting help with the depression.

Welcome new comers. I am sorry you have a reason to be in here.

But the support you need is great. It is here when you need it.

My name is Carla. I am 33 years old. I have multiple health

problms. I was dianos IgA thru a kidney biospy. I also have cerebral

palsy. This past month, I found out I have also have a heart

problem. My heart beats way to fast. There is a medical term for

this, but not sure how to say it or spell it. So, I am on medication

for this.

Hi, ! I am hanging in there. This is very tough on me. But

your words of encouragement always remind me to think more postive.

Thank you so much. I just have a lot on my plate, but the suggestion

you gave me to count your blessings every day has made me continue

to do that. Sometimes it is big and sometime it is very small.

Thank you and all the moderators help and support with this group.

Finally, I am on new medication for my blood pressure. It was very

unstable with the Lisinopril. I am now on Benicar. So, far it has

been helping. I was getting some really bad headaches and my blood

pressure kept rising. I am feeling better. Especially with the

headaches.

I am also on more medication for the water with my feet. Besides

Furesomide. I am also on Zaroxol. It is helping me get the fluid out

of my system. So, now I can finally see my feet. They were so

swollen with fluid. They still are. But coming down alot since I

started this. I take it 30 minutes before I take the Lasik.

Take Care. I will write again when I am feeling better.

Carla thanks for checking in, I was thinking about you recently. I'm so

happy to hear they have found something to help with the swelling in your

feet. You have put up with that for so long now, I'm sure you feel great to

get some relief from it. I'm also glad to hear you are getting some help

dealing with depression. I think the depression can bring you further down

than any pain or discomfort ever will. Add depression on top of pain and

discomfort and you can be in a world of hurt fast. I love 's idea of

counting your blessings using the alphabet, it does help quite a bit on

those days when you are really down, and helps to act as a reminder of a

great day on your good ones. :o)

Glad to hear things are starting to turn to the light for you. I'd also

like you to know that you inspire me greatly. You have so much on your

plate healthwise and though you have some rough days you do seem to pull

thru in the end. Take care and keep looking to the sun.

Hi Carla,

Good to hear from you! That is great news that they figured out how to treat

the swelling in your feet. I am proud of you for getting help with the

depression too. It is not always easy to admit we need help, yet depression is

pretty common with chronic disease, and you have more on your plate than most of

us with your cerebral palsy, IgAN and heart problems. I am very happy to hear

you are still counting your blessings too Carla. It helps so much to keep

things in a positive perspective.

Take care of yourself and let us know how you are doing.
