Guest guest
Katerina, OK, it's a STARBAND, I was wondering because I have never heard of scope before. We have many babies here using a Starband and receiving excellent results. The key with a Starband or other orthotic is the orthotist. You need to do your homework and make sure the orthotists is well trained and receiving good correction for his patients. Ask questions like: Did they take the optional training provided by orthamerica(starbands manufacturer)? How many babies have they done? Can you speak with other parents who have or are using the facility to hear thier experiences? To receive good results and avoid a possibility of worsening the headshape, you have to be sure of the credentials. This was one of the reasons I went with CT. Ct requires extensive training of all OT's before a baby is ever touched by them. You can ask at any CT clinic for parent references to speak with. You can concievable walk into any CT clinic and receive the same treatment with out worry, something that cannot be said for other band providers. You can look in the photo section at the before and after photos to see results and you can look in the plagiokids photo section for what each of the different bands look like. Still my opinion is for CT, but you will have to make that choice on your own after doing your research. Have you looked at CT's website, it helps to explain alot and has severity assessment charts you can use. Let me know if you have any qustions and keep us posted on how it is going, CAROLG > > > > > > Hi all > > > > > > we are trying to decide whether we should go with Cranial > > Tecnologies or SCOPe.
