My son got Accutane after many other treatments didn't work. He grew his

hair long and wore it over his face! The dr told me that one kid had

committed suicide but that he believed that the kid's acne had gotten WORSE

initially with the accutane. He says this does happen to some. He believes

that the kid KNEW it was a LAST resort and that when he stated getting worse

he felt there was no hope. My son finished his course of tx and looks and

feels great! HOWEVER.....I WOULD advise ANYONE on it or who's child is on to

be cautious..

My theory, also--acne is VERY depressing and when it's seeming like it

will NEVER go away but just continue to get WORSE; maybe the warning and

" what to expect..........with treatment " ought to be placed in bold

lettering on the Patient Information literature!!!
