I am just so happy the Prednisone worked for you, the Cellcept was obviously worth it, and now you get to wean off the Prednisone....plus a 14 pound weight loss on top of all that??? I say you and your husband should go out and celebrate this weekend! I'm sure that you can't contain yourself. Keep it up Jersey Girl! Did you do anything different to help get the protein spill to come down this month? I'm glad that you only have several more weeks on the prednisone since I know it gave you such fits. By the way, I snap my gum too, when Mom was in the hospital and she was so terribly sick, I walked into her room and she was sleeping, I was standing over her bed just watching her sleep, I snapped my gum and she before she opened her eyes, she said " Connie, must be here, she snapped her gum " ! It's such an annoying habit if you're not the one snapping it, it's an art if you can do it! I think that I'm being careful and then " SNAP " Let us know how the prednisone weaning continues to go for you this next month. Guest guest Posted July 1, 2004 Report Share Posted July 1, 2004 Thanks Connie: I confess I don't really snap my gum in fact I rarely even chew gum...but you know the stereotypical " jersey girl " has the big teased hair and she's snappin' her gum....none of which is true of course - Oh but wait...I do have a few friends.....nah...just kidding. As far as getting my protein spill down...the only thing I did differently is watch my diet by reducing portion sizes and lowering the salt intake.....Rita Connie Sink wrote: You guys are funny... By the way, I snap my gum too, when Mom was in the hospital and she was so terribly sick, I walked into her room and she was sleeping, I was standing over her bed just watching her sleep, I snapped my gum and she before she opened her eyes, she said " Connie, must be here, she snapped her gum " ! It's such an annoying habit if you're not the one snapping it, it's an art if you can do it! I think that I'm being careful and then " SNAP " Let us know how the prednisone weaning continues to go for you this next month. One of my dearest friends is from the Bronx, NY and to top it all she's Italian. Her and her Mother remind me so much of Sophia and Dorothy from the Golden Girls, they are a riot!
