Guest guest
My instructions say that the only thing is that you shouldn't have it in over 24 hours, but that it has to remain in 8 hrs after intercourse....so that buys you about 16 hrs of time...I chose this method too, but the only thing I don't like about it is that if Iose the weight I want to (i'm a bit of a "fluffy" person), I have to get a new one..they say you have to get fitted if you gain/lose 10 pounds. Guest guest
Sher When I was using one, I lost 80lbs and did not need a new one. I went in to be refitted and still used the same size. But of course I would check on it just in case a Sherry T wrote: My instructions say that the only thing is that you shouldn't have it in over 24 hours, but that it has to remain in 8 hrs after intercourse....so that buys you about 16 hrs of time...I chose this method too, but the only thing I don't like about it is that if Iose the weight I want to (i'm a bit of a "fluffy" person), I have to get a new one..they say you have to get fitted if you gain/lose 10 pounds. Guest guest
> but depo can screw up your thyroid, it did my sil, and she has been off of > it for a long time, and can not concieve I was on depo for over a year and I Just want to point out that there is a portion of the people with EVERY method for which they have problems! I had no problems, no period, nothing It worked great for me. It took me 9 mos from my last injection to get my period back and we are going to start trying in August (ohh! Can't wait!!) My mom got pregnant with an IUD (with my younger sister) I just feel that you should know that every form has it's advantages and you really have to decide what's good for you. I never had any supply problems and no worries about it so it wasn't as big of an issue when I was choosing..I know it is for some people, but you have to weigh the benefits/risks for yourself Gazley Mom to (Oct 8, 1998) http://www.members.home.net/lgazley

Guest guest
This is true. There are also babies who refuse to become nipple confused, the problem is that we don't know who they are until it is too late many times. I wholeheartedly agree that women should educate themselves and make the decision that works best for them. Some women are willing to put up with a few side effects to get the constant protection that the Depo offers. Some are more willing to take a slight chance at pregnancy and will use a less reliable form of BC to avoid other side effects. It is such an individual decision and I am glad there are several good choices out there for us to choose from. Now if they would only make a male BC pill...
