Guest guest Posted September 14, 2006 Report Share Posted September 14, 2006 Definitely low cortisol. Cortisol helps the production of stomach acid, which is essential for digestion. If you don't have enough stomach acid, you are not digesting your food properly and are probably malnourished. Hence inability to put on weight. I had this too, and it all changed when I was put on HC.
