Hi Jill,

If you can manage with one income, perhaps it would be better for you

especially if you have a high stress job. I do realize that it is a difficult

decision, but being able to take care of yourself and your family is really a

higher

priority.

Good luck with your decision Jill. And by the way, what wonderful parents

you must have to be willing to replace your income! You are very blessed!

Jill my neph said reducing my stress level was a big factor in getting

things under control. Not only does it help reduce your blood pressure but

it also helps your bodies natural healing process...high stress delays

healing in many cases. If you can swing a leave of absence or even swing

quitting all together I would go for it. Sounds like you have a very

supportive husband and loving family behind you. I closed my business for 3

months when I was going thru my initial diagnosis and medication juggling.

I work out of the house running my own business (talk about stress) and

homeschool my two kids (6 and 9 yrs old talk about more stress) and do most

of the household stuff like cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc... Just taking

those few months off and not having to worry about work on top of everything

was well worth it as far as my health was concerned. It's hard to do when

you are a work-a-holic mom, you feel guilty about not contributing to the

household budget, you feel guilty about not being able to do many things you

used to, but then you realize you only have one body and once it's

gone...... Give yourself a break if you can, it's well worth it in the end.

Jill,

First of all, best of luck getting the protein under control.

Secondly, it sounds like a no-brainer to me. Go home and enjoy those

babies and take care of your health. I too have small children (6

and 3) and a high stress job (Financial Advisor) and would give up my

job in a New York minute to be home with my little ones. Do you

think your Mom and Dad would help me out? ;)

Remember...when you're old and grey and in the last days of your time

here on earth, are you going to sit around and wish you had worked a

little more or made a little more money? No, the things people

regret are not spending more time with their kids and not slowing

down long enough to take a look at how precious life is. Don't make

that mistake that, sadly, so many make.

Jill, in my opinion-you should just take care to not let the door hit

you in the butt on the way out!!! ;););)

Warmest Regards,

We can all use a little less stress in our lives, disease or no disease.

Will reducing your stress level help with the IgAN? Who knows. All you can

do is try it.

Personally, I don't think you can really get rid of stress. You can only

exchange one stress for another :)

Good point Pierre. Especially with a 3 year old and an infant at

home.
