This is just a guess since I can't actually hear the dictation, but could

the first one be " total ethmoidectomy " and the next one be " maxillary

antrostomy " ? Per Sloane's Medical Word Book 4th Edition. :o)

ENT Doc again

I'm working on the ENT fast-talking doc this morning.

I can usually only understand about 1/2 of what he says.

He just said " total s/n epinectomy, mass s/l antroscopy. Septoplasty. "

Are any of you ENT specialists? I do this doc very infrequently and end up

spending all my time researching what I THINK he is saying. What is a good

ENT site to check?

You're welcome! I hardly ever do ENT notes, so your question gave me a

chance to crack the good ole word book and do some searching! Also, I found

this site about sinuses which might help:

Happy Typing! :o)

ENT doc again

My ENT doc is dictating very quietly and I can not pick up this work that she

is saying. The patient has chronic sinusitis and this is what she is saying

about her:

Waters ___ of the sinuses was performed and almost completed

pacification of the left maxillary sinus.

I can't hear what she is saying! Waters what??

Does anyone have a clue?
