They are both immunosuppressants, but totally unrelated to each other.

Cyclosporin has long been a mainstay of anti-rejection therapy for organ

transplants. Cellcept is newer. They are miracle drugs in a way, but

unfortunately, the miracle is not that they can cure or reverse IgAN. They

can have some benefits, but any current studies or trials in this regard

have to determine if the benefits outweigh the adverse effects. This is

always the delicate balance with drugs.
