Guest guest
Hi Jill, Cyclosporin and Cellcept are two different drugs. I have not ever been on Cyclosporin though and don't know too much about it.
Guest guest
They are both immunosuppressants, but totally unrelated to each other. Cyclosporin has long been a mainstay of anti-rejection therapy for organ transplants. Cellcept is newer. They are miracle drugs in a way, but unfortunately, the miracle is not that they can cure or reverse IgAN. They can have some benefits, but any current studies or trials in this regard have to determine if the benefits outweigh the adverse effects. This is always the delicate balance with drugs.
