Guest guest
Some drink all >the while they go to meetings and sit there and spout it anyway. One man I know, who was a lifelong alcoholic himself (now sober 6 years) got turned off of AA when his dad took him to meetings when he was a little kid. Back then, AA met in peoples' homes. Ron said that his dad and the person who was hosting the meeting would go into a bedroom and drink during break and after the meeting. Hey Pete, I was thinking about what you said, that most Brits would be very uncomfortable if they saw a person with a pistol. Well, one of the things that made me really uncomfortable were all t hose men dressed in black with semi-automatic rifles standing around in airports. And they don't talk, like if you ask them why they're standing there with that high-power rifle in a freaking *airport*, they move away. Yeesh. That gives me the creeps. And there was something about the London Underground being shut down every few days for a bomb threat that was not only disconcerting, but highly inconvenient. I was in London around Christmas, and maybe people think it's a particularly enjoyable holiday prank, but having to go way out of my way to reach my destination was really annoying.
