Dee, don't feel bad. Insecurity is something that plagues most of us. Hubby

night. It was like the boobs, belly, butt, beer, and gambling commercial

time. It was awful! When sexy women are on commercials it makes me really

Hi Romey! I didn't see the show. No, I have not experienced that. But, I can

tell you a little about the insecure part. I get so jealous of the stupid tv!

All these " perfect " women and we have basic cable with no movie channels, but

they still show them prancing around in their little thongs. Makes me sick and

ticked and jealous. has just gotten to where he automatically turns the

channel if there is a woman in bikini or lingerie or anything that's " body

showy " just to keep me quiet. I tell him that he wants to watch that because

I'm fat, which is not true about him at all and I'm sure it hurts his feelings.

I guess I get angry and take it out on him. I should be ashamed, shouldn't I?!

I just can't help it sometimes.

Dr. Phil show

Did anyone watch the show yesterday (Thursday) that was about people who had

the lost the weight and now discovered bigger problems? I really thought the

part about people sabotoging the weight loser was pretty interesting. I

think that is what my hubby and family (my hubby's side) have been doing!

Dr. Phil talked about how after a person makes a big change they require a

different treatment from their friends and family. He said that this may

include the other person having to make a little more effort. The other

person then sabotoges (sp?) them to keep them where they are. Hmmmmm......my

hubby has a jealous streak that he really has to work to keep under

control......I wonder if he thinks that right now he doesn't have to worry

about other men hitting on me or it could be that he doesn't have to worry

about me putting alot of attention to my looks. He knows that when I lose

the weight I will be getting a whole new wardrobe (a gift from my mother) and

will be wearing things that are young and trendy. This could cause a few

looks my way (which will be very flattering. LOL!) Hubby does little things

that could set me back on my loss, but I don't think he is always conscious

of what he is doing. They don't seem intentional. I am going to keep a

watch on this and see if it is true. Have any of you been experiencing this?

Please share. I think it is quite interesting. Honestly, I think I may be

guilty of it too. Hubby isn't trying to lose weight but I don't think I

would want him to lose. I am really insecure when it comes to him being at

work with all those cute little nurses. LOL!

-I do the exact same thing, but with boobs. I have none...you may as

well call me concave. After nursing three babies they've went from

what use to be a solid B to not even filling an A. I am sooooooooo

insecure about them and hate for my hubby to watch anything with

boobs in it. I actually bought some of those inserts a couple months

ago and I love them, but it obviously doesn't help when hubby and I

are playing...then I have to face reality. Meaghan

I have often thought the same thing about my husband, but have always

been too ashamed to admit it. I know my hubby loves me the way I am,

and I love him for that. But everytime I try to lose weight, he seems

to do things to sabotage me. He works at Outback Steakhouse (one of

my favorite restaurants), and whenever I start dieting, he for some

reason starts bringing me all these " treats " home from work. And of

course, being the slave to food that I am, once it is in the house, I

always give in and eat it. He also seems to get " in the mood " to eat

out a lot, which again makes it hard for me to stick to my diet. And

normally when we eat out, he hardly ever eats desert, but when I am

dieting, he always seems to be craving it, and asks if I want to

share one.

When I was thinner, and other men would show interest in me, he was

always insecure, and obsessed with the idea that I might leave him.

So I wonder sometimes if he is just more comfortable with me being

overweight and undesirable, and unconsciously does not want me to

lose the weight.

It is is horrible thing to think, I know. He really does love me, and

I love him, so I have always told myself that I was being silly...

but your post made me think...

Jette,

I think it is probably pretty common. Your examples of things your hubby is

doing are the same as some of mine. I have always thought that I would hate

to be married to one of those really muscular hunky guys that turn every

woman's head. I think it would be hard to think of all the chances they get

to go with someone else. LOL! Hmmmm....gee I'm not insecure or anything,

huh? LOL!

I can't believe it---I used to be the exact same way when it came to the boobs!!

When we first got married, I didn't have all that much. After having the two

girls and gaining so much weight, I finally know what it's like to have boobs.

Now, I am just scared that I will lose them too, but you know what? I would

rather have a healthy heart and live longer than have big boobies. But girl, I

know exactly what you mean. When it came to boobs, I used to holler " life ain't

fair! why didn't I get some too?! " . Wow, and I thought I was the only one.

But I have heard about that happening to women after giving birth and nursing.

In fact, Joan River's daughter was on tv and that same thing happened to her.

She went and had implants, or said she did anyway--it didn't look like it. I

told that if I had the money to have that done, then I would sure have 'em

blown up big enough to see! :-) Sorry, I get carried away sometimes! LOL!

Dee, don't feel bad. Insecurity is something that plagues most of us. Hubby

and I were just discussing the " obscene " commercials that were on NBC last

night. It was like the boobs, belly, butt, beer, and gambling commercial

time. It was awful! When sexy women are on commercials it makes me really

self conscious.

.. When it came to boobs, I used to holler " life ain't fair! why

didn't I get some too?! " . Wow, and I thought I was the only one.

I have none...you may as

Ladies,

Would you like some of mine? I would love for mine to

shrink...maybe we can have the world's first boob transplant,

hahahahaha! At a 40D, I can't wait to drop off some pounds,

hopefully from there, lol! I just want them to stand up and be

perky instead of holding up my underwear when I am without a bra,

lol lol lol!

Sharon, you made me giggle. Thank you. I am looking forward to losing a

little bit of mine, but I am only a 38C but I would like to be a B cup. I

think they just get in the way. Hubby could be worried about losing those

too!

-Actually I'm trying to get some of my girlfriends. She has the same

underwear issue as you-lol. There is a doctor at the hospital she

works out that is trying this new thing where you suction fat cells

from one part of your body and syringe them into your chest. We're

trying to convince him to take out hers and put it in me-lol.

Apparently he doesn't think it is the great idea that we seem to

think it is-lol. Meaghan
