I am having the surgery on july 20 at beth israel hosp. i dont have back problems. im 5-8 268 now down from 305 on my own getting ready for surgery. I cant wait really! my goal is 140. Guest guest Posted July 8, 2001 Report Share Posted July 8, 2001 hi rayna - physically in pain from the ulcers and the hernia - the good news being that doc thayer says you should be able to see the staples in the stomach.......my doc says no...so at this point who knows.emotionally - grieving is an INCREDIBLE rollercoaster..that some days i want off of quickly..and others i'm comforted by the thoughts. i find it extremely difficult reading the posts of newbies as i was cheated of that with paul so i try to skip anything that looks like that. maura Re: OT-Sleep Apnea DEAR MAURA HOW ARE YOU FEELING? BY NEWBIES DO YOU MEAN PEOPLE THAT JUST HAD THE SURGERY? WHEN I GO TO THE NEXT MEETING I AM GOING TO ASK ABOUT STAPLES BEING ABLE TO SEE THROUGH THE SKIN. TODAY MY 3 CHILDREN MY GIRLS ARE MAKING ME A 60TH BIRTHDAY PARTY. MY BIRTHDAY WAS IN DECEMBER BUT THEY WANTED IT IN THE SUMMER AS MY DAUGHTER HAS A BIG IN THE GROUND POOL. I HOPE THE WEATHER CLEARS UP BUT YOU KNOW ONE THING THAT WE CAN'T CONTROL IS THE WEATHER. MY DAUGHTER HAS A BIG HOUSE SO IT WON'T BE A PROBLEM EXCEPT THAT SHE HAS WORKED SO HARD ON HER GROUNDS. Guest guest Posted July 10, 2001 Report Share Posted July 10, 2001 rayna - 95 lbs gone forever....woooooo hoooooo you have every right to feel sexy and i hope you are going to adorn your new self with something wonderful for the party! yes people who just had their surgery i call newbies as paul died 6 days after surgery it is difficult to hear how wonderful those who have crossed over r doing ....don't get me wrong for me it is painful as each time it is like pulling a scab off a wound as he was at the same spot. i hope you had a terrific time at your party and what wonderful daughters you have ! maura ps.....feeling sexxxy is fantastic!!!!!
