Guest guest
Nightmares and insomnia can be indicators of adrenal fatigue... It could be something else too.. but I'm wondering.. how much Synthroid were you on before.... (sorry for needing a reminder) and how long were you on it. How are you dosing? Once per day, or more? Are you swallowing or taking sublingually? Before switching to Armour... did you dream? I don't mean just nightmares... did you dream? Through a LOT of the years that I was really low hypo, I didn't dream... at all.... it wasn't until I switched to natural... and got my levels up a bit.... so there is a link there... I've also had flashback nightmares of an assault, that too was during severe hypo (lack of meds). Anybody else have some thoughts on this?? That and terrible insomnia. Is it often that anyone else has suffered this way? I am almost ready to quit and go back to Synthroid. I am half kidding. Guest guest
Topper, thank you for responding *smiles*. I was on 100 mcg of Synthroid before (don't be sorry, I have the brain fog too). I know I had a few dreams but didn't have many nightmares. I am taking the natural sublingually once a day. Twice a day was keeping me wide awake ALL night rather than most of it. I will be going for my blood tests soon (two weeks) and will get some numbers there. Is it easy to find out about the adrenal fatigue? I am sure you told me/us but um...yeah, you know. I think the lack of sleep is getting to me.

Guest guest
My next bloodwork is to be done in July ( I have an appointment for with my Primary Doctor and my endo in July) and I will post those when I get them also. I am presently taking .137 levoxyl. How easily is it to make the switch? Is it sudden or should I (if I am blessed emough to get a prescription) do it it stages? > Why doctors do not like Armour and why some people do not do well on Armour is because it contains T3..unfortunately it is the lack of T3 in Synthroid that does not work for some people. I would make sure a Free T3 is among your blood work. With the thyroid destruction from RAI and feeling hypo with out proper treatment your Free #'s should come out low.. this mkaes it easier to convince the doctor to give you Armour as you can prove you medically( lab work ) need T3 in your system. If the doctor still refuses to give you Armour then at least you have a base point in your labs as what level to start at and how much is needed.
