I once had a hypertension specialist I was referred to whom I absolutely

hated. He had no personality whatsoever, and he even seemed hostile. He was

a pretty good specialist though - really knew his stuff, and was

highly-regarded and published in the field. Sometimes, we just have to look

past these issues. On the other hand, if you have the choice between a

doctor like that and a doctor who his more friendly and reasonably

competent, I would certainly take the friendlier one any day. The

doctor-patient relationship is a very important one when you have a chronic

disease like IgAN.

Well, off to another dialysis. I'm so looking forward to relaxing there for

4 hours :)

Not!

I have to leave now (about 4 PM) to avoid the major rush hour traffic

crosstown, and I won't get home until about 10:30. To the 3-1/2 hours

treatment, you have to add driving time, waiting time in the waiting room

(sometimes they can be running a half hour late), time to be put on, time to

be taken off, time to hold the needle sites after. It all adds up.

need a neph doctor around Nashville or Cookeville but I don't think there

are any around Cookeville and Nashville is a long way to go.

I would guess she probably likes your property taxes and your mortgage

payment more than she would in CA though. Even fresh lemons don't help overcome

the

cost of living here!
