Guest guest
I just got my sling in the mail today! I think I really like it...Abby's been in it twice and fell asleep both times. I unfortunately didnt think to get the video and really regreting it now...I really dont think she's in it right and the paper directions arent very helpful. Any hints? > Marie , > > He could be going through a growth spurt and needing extra time with you > and more milk. I think time and experimentation are all you need. It took me at least two or three weeks before I really felt comfortable with the sling. Alana Millman Wife to J.P. Guest guest
There is no wrong way. I have made up variations on the positions just by experimenting. Practice. I have found that it works best If I start Becca out on my shoulder as if I was burping her except higher up. Then lower her in. Guest guest
MC, The only slings I have seen with a weight limit are the ones at Target, etc., and they are elasticized. Most of the rest are simply cloth with a ring closure system. The fabric will stretch some as it is used, but the weight limit is what you can comfortably carry. Guest guest
MC, Most slings that I have heard of say that they can carry a baby up to about 35lbs. You've already gotten some suggestions but I thought I would put this out there. http://www.mayawrap.com These slings don't have padded rails like the OTSBH. It also comes with a video. Guest guest
The sling with twins is just longer. It is great when they are newborns. I carried Becca & her little friend around in mine before. The liability limits the weight of a sling at 35 pounds, but most moms are aware if the sling is not fitting well, slipping, or if the fabric is stressed and worn. My 2.5 year old weighs about 38-40 lbs and still loves the sling. Also check out http://www.parentingconcepts.com for more sling patterns. You can customize the fabric on any sling.
