Another is to get a pot of steaming water and inhale over it, softening things up a bit. Good wishes to you.. I found it ALOT easier to clean out my nose w/ q- tips...clean out all the blood clots and all the mucous. Qtips were my BEST friends as well as vicks-44 for the congestion. hehehe. My nostrils are really small, so i cannot fit my fingers in my nose...so i have to use q-tips. The best things ever created. hehehe Just be careful as you clean out. don't insert anything too far in...you might hurt yourself. and remember...DON " T BLOW. not only will it do damage....it HURTS. good luck! -Jen > Thanks for the reply. Guest guest Posted May 22, 2003 Report Share Posted May 22, 2003 I'm not so sure that it's the danger of infection as much as it is the danger of ripping out the stiches. I sneezed the day after my surgery and I could feel the stiches being pulled. I could even feel the air going by the stiches. It sorta inflated my cheeks and I had to press against them to get the air out. It was more painful than you can imagine!!
