Guest guest
I haven't tried the Cutler method yet, but my reaction to any mild chelating agent is also extreme fatigue. Is there anyone out there that has regained energy by using the Cutler method? Ro Olin what to do if DMSA makes you extremely tired and achy Hi, I know that I have a serious mercury problem. I've tried DMSA 50 mgs every 4 hours and find that it makes me extremely tired and achy? I haven't started lipoic acid yet. I live overseas and the doctor overseeing my DMSA taking is quite interested by Cutler's work, but not aware of all the subleties. What can I do to not be so enormously tired and achy with DMSA? Guest guest
I am continuing rounds myself and also experiencing some tired and achyness but for me it is the days I am off chelation. I am doing 3 days/2 nights on at 5mg DMSA with no problems of SOB or ataxia or worsened MS symptoms as in earlier trials. I am on day 2 off and very very tired. I have a tested very high mercury level problem and chronic relapsing progressive MS likely due to mercury (high fish intake as cause, no amalgams ever or immuniz). Hot here and can't be out in heat at all.period. _____ From: frequent-dose-chelation [mailto:frequent-dose-chelation ] On Behalf Of TK Sent: Monday, July 17, 2006 10:52 AM To: frequent-dose-chelation Subject: Re: what to do if DMSA makes you extremely tired and achy > > Hi, > > I know that I have a serious mercury problem. I don't have as much energy as a completely healthy person, but I would say that I've gone from 20% healthy to a good 75-80%. And improvement continues. Others have posted on this list about their recovery or partial recovery on the Cutler protocol before. You might try searching the archives here, or on Onibasu.com . Guest guest
We are using 10mg dmsa with my son on Andy's protocol and fatigue has not been a problem. But he is on all the recommended supplements, lot of vitmains/minerals, Grapefruit seed extract, probiotics to make sure he does not get gut yeast during a round. Or get low in any minerals. If you develop yeast this can make you tired. As can not getting enough vitmains/minerals. > > I haven't tried the Cutler method yet, but my reaction to any mild chelating agent is also extreme fatigue. > > Is there anyone out there that has regained energy by using the Cutler method? > Ro > Olin > > what to do if DMSA makes you extremely tired and achy > > > Hi, > > I know that I have a serious mercury problem. Guest guest
Yes, I have been chelating for a year now. I had tremendous fatigue and achiness in the beginning, but this has improved a lot. Important to keep your dose low enough in the beginning. -- > > I haven't tried the Cutler method yet, but my reaction to any mild chelating agent is also extreme fatigue. > > Is there anyone out there that has regained energy by using the Cutler method? > Ro > Olin > > what to do if DMSA makes you extremely tired and achy > > > Hi, > > I know that I have a serious mercury problem. Guest guest
The first day is usually the best for me when I'm on a new round. My mind is sharper and I have decent energy. Guest guest
I've improved, but it has taken a while. When I was first doing DMSA @ 50mg (I weigh 150lbs) via Cutler Protocol, I was asleep for an entire day on the weekend. I switched to 12.5 every 4 hours, and though I wasn't full of vim and vigor, I wasn't disabled :-). I have since moved up to 25 mg of DMSA w/ no problems. (At that time I was able to sleep w/o meds for the first time in 10 years.) I then added 25 mg of ALA and it was taxing the first two rounds, but now on my third round, I seem to be handling it well. I read others say that they had more energy while on round, and I didn't know what they were talking about. I can now say I do! It's a very small change for me, but quite noticeable. I'm really optimistic, that I can get my life back again. My son is now on DMSA, and I will get blood tests for him, just to make sure everything is cool. After a few more rounds of that and with approval I'll add in the ALA. He is already in summer camp and saying that he doesn't need his meds; he can control himself without them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! --------------------------------- See the all-new, redesigned Yahoo.com. Guest guest
I get brain fog, tired, achy, and headaches. I drink around a quart of water each hour or so to rinse out the stirred up hg. The water guzzling provides substantial relief, and even helps more than aspirin or tylenol. Of course, reducing dosage would be prudent. Good luck, Shay

Guest guest
Is everyone taking the recomended amounts of vitamins and minerals? I know this helps with side effects. With my daugher who is taking 12.5 mg of dmsa every four hours, her first day was great. But the second was like a tons of bricks hit her. Really tired, not much appetite. I double checked her supplements and increased her vitamin C to tolerance. The side effects were much less. I know that when I had my amalgams removed I got pretty sick for a few weeks, and the only think that kept me going was 1000mg of vitamin C like every four to six hours. As I would get close to the four/six hour mark, I would start to get mercury symtpoms really bad. Please use caution with tylenol, it is hard on the liver, which is already under stress during chelation. Liver support is recomended (as you probably already know), but tylenol in the stew will really put the pressure on. I may be repeating information that all of you already know, but I thought maybe the experience with taking vitamin C everytime you feel terible, might help someone. > > I get brain fog, tired, achy, and headaches.
