Good morning ladies. I'm brand new here. I will most likely just

lurk for a while, but wanted to introduce myself. My name is Debbi

and I'm from Michigan. I'm 39 (40 in September) and had my TL in

1988. I have 3 kids from my first marriage, JD will be 20 in July,

nne is 18 and Dallas will be 16 in July. (We have 3 kitties

too.) DH and I were married in 1999; he was never married before &

has no kids. He was certain he never wanted any kids, and we

discussed it at length before we got married. We talked about a TR

once before, about 3 years ago. I really feel that he's missing out

on the greatest joy there is, and he doesn't KNOW what he's missing

because he's never experienced it. He was all for it if I wanted to

go through with it 3 years ago, but we sort of let the subject drop

and never pursued it. He's thinking about it again, and I told him he

better hurry and decide as I'm not getting any younger!

I'm not CERTAIN that I want to do this. The TR doesn't scare me, but

my kids are so grown, and the selfish part of me is happy with that.

Also, I'm not certain I want to be 60 (or more) when my child

graduates from HS. I'm really looking forward to grandkids and hope

that is not in to the too distant future, and I don't know that I want

children & grandchildren who are the same age. Plus, my kids would

freak out, as they are convinced that DH and I don't do " that " anyway!

LOL. My mom would absolutely freak, but I could deal with all that.

I'm afraid of being tired & achy, etc., but I would get over that too.

I'm just not certain that this is the right thing for me right now.

Having said all that, if DH came to me today and said he wanted to do

this, I would definitely do it in a second for him. I just have many

pros & cons running through my head and thought this may be a good

place to share them, hear other women's stories, get advice, learn, etc.

Thanks for having me.

Debbi

ever returned a blood test that showed mild neutropenia?...

With this group of amazing people, I doubt anyone feels very alone -

this is an incredibly supportive group! Keep asking questions, as

there is most always someone who responds or directs you in a

direction to find more information.

If 's neutrophil count has ever been very low, I haven't noticed

it. There is lots of reason for variation in the white blood cell

differential (or the different types of white cells). I'd still be

interested in repeating it, as things could come back to normal. If

there was still a low count, I'd ask his doctor for more information

or if the doctor felt he needed to see a hematologist or specialist.

Hi Joanne,

Timmo does have another appointment soon and a blood test due in two

weeks, so hopefully the test results will be good, if not I will be

asking the doc some questions. I hope that your son is feeling well

too.

was wondering if your son and he could send emails back

and forth given that they are the same age and facing similar

challenges. Would like that?

We live in , Australia and is in year 10 at school.
