I was just wondering if anyone has tried acupuncture treatments?

I did last summer for three months and my creatine levels when down.

I stop because of finance, and lost all hope. I was tried of waiting

in the hall for two hours for a bed. I'm thinking if I should try

again!

It is fortunate, that we have an acupuncturist with a great reputation, in our

city. He was trained in China, and used to work for the Australian Ballet

company, as a practicing Acupuncturist.

He can tell from the different pulses, exactly my state of health. He is truly

impressive.

,

Sorry for the late answer to your question about acupuncture, but I

have been away. I have found acupuncture an unbelievable help for the

kidneys. I have been pretty stable for many years with the IGAN, but

how I notice my " condition " is that under stress I feel fatigue and

sometimes pain in the kidney area. As soon as the needles (painless

by the way) go in, I can literally feel the energy moving in my body,

I get very relaxed and the fatigue and pain disappear and I feel

renewed. I feel like I have the best of both worlds--western and

eastern medicine to help me with my kidneys and would recommend it to

anyone.

Just by coincidence, there's been a news item the past few days about the

safety of acupuncture here in Canada. Apparently, a few thousand people in

the Province of Quebec have had to be tested for HIV, Hepatitis, etc.,

because it became known that they could have been infected with

improperly-cleaned needles from a number of different clinics. Then, it sort

of came to the attention of the media that in Ontario, the largest province

in population, acupuncture clinics and practicioners are not regulated or

inspected in any way whatsoever. Anybody can just hang out a shingle.
