Someone told me to add a little baking powder and whip with a fork to get that frosting look. I got the look, but when I removed it from the mold the layer came off. I've been trying to do m & p soap loaves and I am having trouble getting layers to adhere. I was told to stick a hat pin through to the bottom layer so the warm soap will help hold the layers togeather and it works somewhat, but I don't know if it will hold togeather bathing with it. Spray the first layer lightly (after it has hardened somewhat) and then pour on the next layer...repeat to the end This works quite well... HTH! You might also want to watch how solid the bottom layer is when you are pouring. I believe that if the bottom layer is all the way hardened, that the new layer you are pouring may not stick as well. I normally pour my new layer when the previous layer has a nice thick skin, but its still not all the way hard.
