I'm still having the daily talking sessions with Mom trying to show her how badly she needs someone to take care of her. She got up this morning, was up maybe an hour and said she didn't feel good and went back to back and has been up and down and down all day. She'll be in bed for the evening by 8. She doesn't want to cook of course so I do that, but much of the time I can't find anything that she will eat. TOnight she said that some blueberry muffins sounded good so that's what I made and at least she had that with milk. As Bill Cosby would say,"Well, that's fruit (blueberries), eggs, milk, something from the grain group (the flour in the mix), so we're doing okay." I'm making beef rouladen for lunch tomorrow and she can eat it in she wants it and if she doesn't want it, she can save it and eat it later. I'll fix her some potatotes and corn too and hopefully she'll eat that. I just remembered that I have to go to the store and get more tomatoes....she did eat a tomato sandwich today.of I give up...she's at least eating something. I just wish I could get her to the doctor...and then get her to agree to go home with me or to my brothers'. BTW, I have sole custody of her this weekend...my older brother is in Spain and the younger brother is at the Grand Canyon. Hope your Mother will give in and go to the doctor or somewhere for help. She needs to ge some help with her cough so that your sister can get some rest. It is so frustrating being a long distance care taker, istn't it? Jane Re: Jane Jim is in Florida and I'm in NC fighting with my Mom...I don't know which is worse. Today I was going to just call the doctor and make an appt. for her to get a cortisone shot since she wasn't making any move towards doing it and she told me that she didn't like being told what to do...or driven to do what she didn't want to do...we came to words. I felt like I was being dealing with a child. The appt. did NOT get made. So tonight we will see how many times she is up and down with pain.
