, don't sweat it. You know you lost 2 lbs. Not that I advocate

violence, but you should have slapped her and counted it toward your AP's for

the day. Hey, it was for the plan, right?

Hello:

Yesterday on my scale at home, I weighed 2 pounds less than I did on

my scale a week ago. I was sure WW weigh-in would show a 2-pound

drop or at least a pound and a half. Well-----

We had a substitute leader. I stepped on the scale and she wrote

down the weight. I lost .2 2/10 of a pound. I couldn't believe it.

I said very nicely to her " Are you sure that's right? " She's an

older woman with an extremely big mouth. She said very loudly, " Oh,

I know that's right, I know that's right. " I said something like " I

was expecting 2 lbs " . She said " Why are you looking for a number?

Have you tried measuring? " I said " On my scale I lost 2 pounds. "

She's yelling all over the room--they may have heard her all over the

building. I just wanted to slap her. She said " You can't compare

scales. " I explained to her in a slightly loud voice that I wasn't

comparing scales--that I was comparing my scale to my scale and WW to

WW, but the losses are usually pretty consistant.

Anyway, I was almost in tears before she caused such a disruption

with her big mouth. I had planned to stay for the meeting, but I

just grabbed my stuff and walked out. I know she can't help what the

scale says, though I still don't understand it. Today on my scale,

I've still lost 2 pounds. I was very tempted after that disaster to

go eat something really bad, but I didn't. I came back to my office

and ate my frozen dinner. I just felt like she was treating me like

a 5-year old or an idiot.

I have heard people say before that they quit their meeting because

of the leader. I've never had an experience like this where I so

disliked someone. Maybe it's just me. Maybe the rest of the group

loved her. I didn't stay to find out. She was my leader's leader.

She is crazy about her and I like my leader a lot.

OK--I've rambled enough. Sorry to whine.

Jon:

I seriously considered slapping her, but luckily I was able to

control myself. I'm still confused about that two pounds, but we'll

see how things match up from now on.

Have you ever watched the old Flip show? When he's dressed as

Geraldine (I watch a lot of TV land), she always tells people " YOU

DON'T KNOW ME " !! That's how I felt yesterday afternoon. This woman

doesn't know me or anything about me. I am not stupid and I probably

know as much or more about the program than she does. Sure--I've

screwed up horribly--but that doesn't mean I didn't know what to do.

LOL

Thanks for everything!

Hang in there. If you show a loss on one scales the loss is usually pretty

consistent with the loss on another scales(in my opinion) even if the

weights aren't the same. If she messed up that will be that muchy more of a

loss next week. I hope your regular leader is back. She would have upset me

tto.

I am so sorry to hear about the bad leader. Is she just a sub or the new leader? Maybe the scale at WW was read wrong and you will show a better loss next week. Keep your chin up. I know it is hard. I am so proud of you for going back to your office and eating your planned meal insead of eating something bad due to the bad leader. That is great and I am proud of you! Keep up the good work!
