Do you go grocery shopping alone?

My Answer:

YES

My DH is NOT a shopper and on the rare occasions he does go along I always

end of spending more. He was very sweet the 2 weeks that I could not drive

and pretended that he liked to shop. He would come home from work and ask

if I would like to go somewhere like the grocery store. I go to the store

almost every other day as we very rarely eat the same things and don't plan

our meals very far in advance. (DH is very slim and can eat anything and

everything and not gain an ounce)

Pretty rarely do I go alone. Every once in a while I like to so I can do the

same thing but most of the time I always make sure someone is with me. I always

make my menu's and then my list. I pretty much stick to my list.

Question of the day--Sunday 7-7-02

Do you go grocery shopping alone?

My Answer:

I try very hard to get everyone to tell me what they want and then go

shopping by myself. In doing this, I get to look at everything and

compare, nutritional labels and prices without the kids or Robin

saying " Aren't we done yet? " If they are with me, I tend to just run

around the store and grab things.

What about you??

That way we arent hungry, and having two heads helps us to stay on

budget better and plan meals. I have a 15 yr old who can babysit so

we dont take the kids. Sometimes as cautious as I am about prices, I

tend to overspend sometimes if I go it alone, and Jim keeps me in

check:)

> Do you go grocery shopping alone?

My answer: I do both, there is one friend that I go

grocery shopping with. It gives us time to chat as

well as we are both watching our food so we keep each

other in line. I also like to go alone, so I can

either grab what I need/want or can take time and read

labels. So it all depends on time as well as my mood.

In other words I am on the fence with that one.

Do you go grocery shopping alone?

My Answer:

No..My husband and I shop together. I plan a weeks worth of menu's and create

my shopping list at http://www.mygrocerychecklist.com/ I print out 2 copies

and divide the list between the 2 of us.

It's fun, easy and an equal-opportunity deal. When I went to work outside the

home many years ago, we divided all the household chores equally also...now that

we are in retirememt, we pay someone to clean for us.

I am making my list today as soon as I catch up reading emails.

Bob checks for sales in the Sunday paper and we " comp " shop at Wal-Mart. This

is a fun thing for us to do together. My kids and most of our friends think we

are nuts and need to get a life.

Have a great day.

PS..Z...How much longer are you going to keep this boring font and no

graphics??
