Guest guest
In San this week I observed an old ambulance with " II GEMINI " on the side and nothing else. Anybody know about this? BTW, what's the scoop on having your TDH license numbers on your trucks? We thought we had to do it and bought decals, yet I have yet to see another ambulance with the numbers on the truck. Anybody up to date on this? GG

Guest guest
When they inspected our units, they wanted to see the TDH License. We have it displayed in the patient compartment per their regulations. There is no number or decal on the outside of our vehicles that display a TDH number. Guest guest
HR 5411 requires that all ambulances after October 1, 2004, have " Oxygen Equipped " and " Radio Dispatched " written on the side with the TDH license number clearly visible. Both the ambulance driver and attendant must wear a white pressed uniform with appropriate grooming. The Type V ambulances, as defined by the statute, are high-top Cadillaics with a minimum of 450 cubic inches of engine displacement. E. Guest guest
One thing about it, some EMS providers will have to do some drastic changes to their uniforms.... No longer will any EMS personnel be confused for drivers for 7-UP, etc..... Nothing like being in Wal Mart in that Green/Grey shirt and a customer saying " Do ya have any more Cherry 7-UP? " ..... Or being in Blockbuster in the navy blue- " Do you have any copies of Mother, Jugs, and Speed? " . I mean how many real world private employers actually wear white uniforms..... Guest guest
I finally found them through TDH last night. They're registered in Bexar County (San ). Their truck looked like some I have recently seen parked in junk yards here and there. I'll bet if I had a dollar for every mile it's seen I could retire on my own private island in the Caribbean.
