Thanks. I use AOL mail, so it's probably their problem. I recently

installed 9.0c, the very latest version, and it didn't change it. Sigh.

More than likely it is not your AOL account. When any document is created on

your computer it must go through the OSI Reference Model to get from its

readable format to a digital format. It is possible that the problems is

occuring some where between the program that your are using and your email

Program itself if they differ. One fix you may try is to contact AOL and ask

then what email program they support and use that one if you do not already

do so.

Second fix maybe reinstalling your email program because thay can get

buggy after awhile.

Third fix maybe to use a word prosessing program that works and plays

well with your current email prgram.

Fourth and perhaps the fastest is to contact the tech. support people

the your email program using and ask them what can be done.

Hope this helps.

Gene,

I experience that problem occasionally, but I think I have it narrowed down

to those instances where I cut and paste content into the e-mail from

another source, or else when I compose the e-mail on Word, then paste it

over to my e-mail client. Apparently the difference in margins and returns

creates some sort of mismatch.

There was a time when I was using an older version of Netscape mail that

when I would click on " Reply, " it would jumble up the quotations, but it did

not affect my actual replies.

Good luck,

Rob

Dear Email Gurus:

Does anybody know why my emails get completely screwed up in formatting?

The

last one I sent had nice bullet points, paragraph separations, and standard

justification when I sent it, but it came out like somebody had spilled it

on

the floor and scooped it up with a broom--all out of format.

Is this the price I pay for AOL or do all the email services do this?

Curious minds want to know.

I love AOL. I don't even use AOL, but about every 3 months they send me a

free coaster in the mail. They are an attractive silver color and come with

a collectable tin.

Hahahahah. I HATE AOL but I use it because it's the one that allows me to

hook into it anywhere, and my mailbox has NEVER filled up, in contrast with my

colleague who uses another prominent one and whose mailbox overflowed and

caused all incomings to bounce. That has never happened to me.

Hmmmm. Letters, colors, and backgrounds with stripes. If yahoo is striping

our e-mails, we should contact the DOT. They oversee striping for the State
