Guest guest
On Monday I was to have a fistula placed on my left wrist. The vessels were bad so they closed me up and placed it in the crook of my elbow. I had 3 gauze pads on the other arm where they stabbed me for the IV's. I was sitting in the bed, with my prosthetic leg beside me and a bandage on a sore on the shin. On the other foot, which is missing 2 toes, I have a gauze cause there is a chunk of callous that came off. I had taken out my prosthetic eye to clean it with saline. At that moment, my mom comes in and sees me and says " geez, what war were you in? " I think I win! lol Sharon With all there is, why settle for just a piece of sky. Guest guest
What a mess, Sharon. Glad to see you still have a sense of humor about it all. On more serious note, that's inspiring. _____ From: Tiggerpit@... Sent: Friday, April 30, 2004 7:19 PM To: iga-nephropathy Subject: Re: Vent away, that's what we're here for. Guest guest
Sharon you win! ) Your posts are always an inspiration to me, I love the fact that thru all of this you can and have kept your sense of humor. You remind me so much of my beloved aunt who, between her husband and herself, have had numerous health related issues and surgeries. Thru it all she has kept on truckin' and smiling even when she wanted to weep uncontrollably. She has been helping me learn to cope with chronic illness...I always wanted to grow up to be like her, she is just so very laid back and in tune with it all.
