Guest guest
We have the same problem with our ambulances while we're between quarters (building our next ems station). We obtained the little el cheapo brand electric heaters from dollar general and run an extension cord outside to an outdoor outlet all rated for the appropriate amperage and wattage for the heater used(it'll say on the UL tag) The little ceramic heaters work great for small spaces, have built in thermostats and fans, auto overturn shutoffs etc. We also keep our I.V. Fluids warm by sandwiching several bags of various size between two heating pads wrapped in a blanket. Both heating pads can usually be plugged into a surge protector strip with it's own overload breaker, plugged in turn to a construction grade orange extension chord ran once again to an outdoor outlet. Most of our outdoor outlets are rated at 30 amps, where as indoors some are 10a and some 15a or 20a. Some of these things crews brought from home and didn't even have to be purchased. (penny pinching for a new building, you know) but they should ALL be new, or at least gently used recently bought.
