Guest guest
I saw my neph today and we are quite happy after being about six weeks on daily 30 mg prednisone. My creatinine level was 293 before I started the pred; it is now at 242 after six weeks. The protenuria went down also (although even that I could tell, I wasn't peeing a foamy bubble bath anymore!) The blood pressure is still a concern though...even after reducing the pred to 30 mg, it's still around 140s/90s. So now he wants me to take 80 mg Diovan in the am and 240 mg Tiazac in the evening. I've had little annoying side effects, but overall, I feel really good despite them. And the lowering of the creatinine all the time is really good icing on the cake! Guest guest
Hey Sophia, What great news! Here's hoping that your numbers continue to improve. It took about three months for 's numbers to completely respond to prednisone - during which I was worrying and worrying what seemed to be a slight response. Sounds like you are off to a great start. I agree - that creatinine drop is really good icing!
