Guest guest
Hi, I have fast phase I and slow phase II liver pathways. I have had a terrible time with the toxicity plus chelating. From what I read on the great smokies liver test was that it can be due to genetic uniqueness and/or long term toxicity or other things. I have made mistakes that should not have caused long term effects and have done. Like taking garlic capsules or using too high dose of DMSA or slipping up on a dose etc. These thing though not good for any mercury toxic person, will impact a person injured by other things as well as mercury far far more and usually long term. > Hi > > The biochemical individuality is so important. > If you hypothetically have 10 mercury toxic people with approx. the > same amount of poisoning and poisoned in the same areas of the body, and > 6 of them improve on chelation, why dont the last 4 improve? > > Could it be due to genetics? > Have anyone here tried to chelate who have fast phase 1 and slow phase > 2 liver function? Guest guest
> > Hi, I have fast phase I and slow phase II liver pathways. , I think that I have the same. (Fast phase 1 because I have trouble with anxiety and pain, Slow phase 2 because I am somewhat chemically sensitive, although I haven't had the tests). These liver symptoms have been improving for me over time, I think mostly because of the diet and supplements I am on. What supplements do you take now? Maybe we can fine tune supplementation. Guest guest
I'm following this issue carefully because I seem to have the same issue, plus a lot of brain fog, which means it would help me to get a very clear protocol of supplements to help. What exactly do I need to do to help myself with this issue? Thanks for any suggestions.

Guest guest
When I did my consult with Andy, he told me that most people don't have slow phase 2, but have fast phase I which then overwhelms phase 2. In his book he gives recommendations for slowing down phase 1 detox, such as taking niacinamide, grapefruit seed extract or other grapefruit products or foods, emulsified oregano oil. Avoid BHT, BHA, TBHQ, carotenoids or foods that are high in Carotenoids, and foods that have been smoked, grilled/fried/charbroiled/barbecued or done in any other way that would make the food have charbroiled crispy bits in them. Inhaling smoke of any kind can be a problem as well. Hope this helps, Gladioli > > I'm following this issue carefully because I seem to have the same > issue, plus a lot of brain fog, which means it would help me to get a > very clear protocol of supplements to help. > > What exactly do I need to do to help myself with this issue? > > Thanks for any suggestions. >

I was just passing along the information Andy gave me. FYI-I cannot tolerate any of the supp. suggestions made for slowing down phase 1. The only thing I can do is use the " avoidance " recommendations for the things that speed up phase 1. If someone tries niacinamide, be sure it is NOT niacin which speeds up phase one instead. Just wanted to make that distinction. G.

Guest guest
Wow! Thanks. Guest guest
For Fast Phase I, like me, take Niacinamide, 500-1000 mgs. at least three times per day, plus grapefruit seed extract. Either or is okay too. Re: Re: Chelating with fast phase 1and slow phase 2 > Wow! Thanks. Guest guest
Is this fast Phase 1, slow Phase 2 discussed in the hair test book? I just have the Amalgam Illness book and don't understand how you know if you're slow or fast and what it all means. Guest guest
You have to have the test done. I had mine done a few years back through Great Smokies, but I don't know if they still do phase 1 and phase 2 detox pathways tests. You have to go to a doc who knows where to order it. It's done by blood. Andy tells you in the book what to do about it. Fast phase 1 goes along with chemical sensitivities, but I don't know about phase II.
